SEA AND BEACHES IN TUSCANY

From the campsite you can reach several beaches, covering the distance of only a few kilometers to choose the calmer sea depending on the winds.

Parco di Rimigliano

Calm sea with winds from the South. Free beach and (near St. Vincent) bathing establishments. The “Principessa” Road runs along the beautiful pine forest where you can reach the free beach, walking through the pedestrian access. You can leave your car along the road. Crowded in August. In the center of the Park (about 7 km south of St. Vincent) there is a bar with tables and benches for picnic and also public toilets.

Golfo di baratti

A calm bay with winds from the South. It’s a beautiful bay with sand and some rocks, usually crowded, tourist harbor, taxi boats that bring groups to the inaccessible cliff of Piombino and in the evening take them back to the harbor. Bars, restaurants, and groceries, hot showers, toilets, large parking (all against payment). For those who love the challenging walks, there is a path leading to a beautiful cliff called the Buca delle Fate: To reach the starting point of this path, go by car towards Populonia and before arriving at the village where the road turns right and opens to a wonderful view (on your right the bay of Baratti and on your left the isle of Elba) leave the car and take the unsmooth path on the left.

Carbonifera

Calm sea with winds from the north – very large beach with bathing establishments and with free beaches.
