From the campsite Blucamp you can admire all the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago, Elba, Il Giglio, Montecristo, Capraia and even Corsica. But if you want to visit them here are some useful informations.
From Piombino (about 20 km from the campsite) depart the connections with the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago (Elba, Capraia) and Sardinia. At the harbour there are large parking places (against payment) but it can be easily reached by bus or train (to be taken at the station of Campiglia-Venturina) reaching down to the harbour (bus stop next to the station of Piombino). Please ask at the reception for the prices and the time-schedules. The ferry to the island of Giglio departs from Porto Santo Stefano.
Ferries for cars and people: frequency – about one hour per hour – journey time – one hour – hydrofoil (duration 30 min.)
From late July to late August you need to book for being sure to find a place on the ferry for your car. No problem for people. At Elba you can hire cars, motorbikes and bicycles, and there are also offered excursions by bus.
