WINE ROAD

Routes for wine lovers

TASTINGS IN NATURE

EXPLORING THE TRAILS OF FLAVOR

In 1996, the Chamber of Deputies approved a law establishing “wine roads,“ routes that introduce wine enthusiasts to local production while discovering wonderful landscapes, ancient villages, farms, castles, unknown works of art, and more. Additionally, every year towards the end of May, “Cantine Aperte“ (Open Cellars Day) takes place throughout Italy.

From Blucamp, three “wine roads“ are easily accessible:

– “Costa degli Etruschi Wine Road“: The Costa degli Etruschi boasts 4 DOC wines, including DOC Montescudaio, DOC Bolgheri (which includes the famous Bolgheri Sassicaia, known worldwide), DOC Val di Cornia, and DOC Elba.
– “Monteregio di Massa Marittima Wine Road,“ where DOC Monteregio di Massa Marittima is produced.
– “Colli di Maremma Wine Road“: The DOC wines of this area include DOC Morellino di Scansano, DOC Bianco di Pitigliano, DOC Capalbio, DOC Sovana, DOC Parrina, and DOC Ansonica della Costa dell’Argentario.
