DISCOVERING THE VILLAGES

IMMERSING YOURSELF IN HISTORY

Blucamp campground is located 700 meters from the ancient village of Campiglia. The town, perched on a hill with a view of the Gulf of Follonica, boasts a history of over 10 centuries. The historic center of Campiglia is rich in important monuments such as the 12th-century fortress, the Church of San Giovanni and the Meleager bas-relief, the parish church of San Lorenzo which houses precious works of art, and the attached Museum of Sacred Art, the Pretorio Palace with the coats of arms of the Captains, now home to the Children’s Library and the Historical Archive, and the 19th-century Teatro dei Concordi.
From the campground, you can easily reach other tourist destinations.





CAMPIGLIA

The town of Campiglia, perched on a hill with a view of the Gulf of Follonica, boasts a history of over 10 centuries. SUVERETO

PIOMBINO

Piombino is a charming coastal town in the Italian region of Tuscany. It is located on the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea and is known for its picturesque old town, historic landmarks, and proximity to the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago. The city has a rich history dating back to the Etruscan era and is now a popular destination for tourists looking to experience the beauty of the Tuscan coast.


GULF OF BARATTI

On the beautiful Gulf of Baratti lies the Necropolis of San Cerbone, a very important Etruscan site with numerous large Etruscan tombs, still intact at the time of discovery.


POPULONIA

One of the most important centers for iron processing in the ancient world. Currently, the village overlooks a magnificent panorama of the Gulf of Baratti, and you can admire the ancient walls and the fortress. Furthermore, interesting excavations have revealed remains dating back to the first and second centuries of the Roman era.


MASSA MARITTIMA

A city of art rich in historical and environmental beauties with the wonderful Cathedral of San Cerbone, the Town Hall, the Fonti which contain the famous and daring Fresco of Abundance, and the Palace of the Podesta, home to the Archaeological Museum.


VOLTERRA

An important city of art dating back to the 5th century AD, rich in large medieval palaces enclosed within mighty walls, watched over by two tall towers and the Medici fortress. It also houses important Roman remains, including the Roman theater carved into the rock, which was unearthed in the 1950s. Currently, the city is famous for its alabaster craftsmanship. There are numerous museums to visit, such as the Etruscan Museum, the Civic Art Gallery, the Museum of Sacred Art, and the Alabaster Eco-Museum.


SAN GIMIGNANO

The famous city of towers, which reached its peak between 1000 and 1300, being a mandatory stop for pilgrims on the Via Francigena.


LIVORNO

A picturesque seaside city with a large and important port, numerous monuments, churches, fortresses, museums, and art galleries, an aquarium, characteristic canals that cross the city, and protagonists of an interesting event in August known as “Effetto Venezia“.


SCAVI DI ROSELLE

Important excavations of a city that was already thriving in the 7th century BC, displaying Etruscan and Roman remains.


PISA

A splendid city traversed by the River Arno, whose architectural gems are a destination for tourists from all over the world. Unforgettable is the Cathedral in the green square on which stands the famous and impressive Leaning Tower.


FIRENZE

Any comment on this splendid city is superfluous – it is recommended to use the train, which takes 2 hours and 20 minutes to reach the station in the city center.


SIENA

The city of the Palio, which takes place in the central Piazza del Campo. Countless monuments and museums.
