Blucamp is situated 700 m from the ancient village of Campiglia. The village, perched on a hill overlooking the Gulf of Follonica, has a history of over 10 centuries. The historic center of Campiglia is rich in important monuments such as the 12th century fortress, the church of San Giovanni and the famous bas-relief of Meleager, the parish church of San Lorenzo that houses precious works of art, and to which is attached the Museum of Sacred Art, the Praetorian Palace with coats of arms of the Captains, now home of the Children’s Library and the Historical Archives, the nineteenth-century theater Concordi.
From the campsite you can easily reach other tourist destinations.

Suvereto

An enchanting medieval village in which you can walk around in the narrow lanes and among the ancient palaces, visiting the many cozy wine cellars.

Golfo di baratti

On the beautiful Gulf of Baratti lies the Necropolis of San Cerbone, a very important Etruscan site with several large Etruscan tombs, still untouched at the time of discovery.

Populonia

One of the most important centers for the manufacture of iron in the ancient world. Currently the village overlooks a magnificent view of the Gulf of Baratti and you can admire the ancient city walls and the fortress. There are also interesting excavations which have unearthed remains dating back to the the first and second century of the Roman era.

Massa Marittima

A city of art, rich in beautiful historical and environmental treasures with the wonderful Cathedral of San Cerbone, the Town Hall, Le Fonti that contain the famous and open-minded Fresco of Abundance and the Palace of the Podestà, home of the Archaeological Museum.

Volterra

An important art city dating back to the 5th century BC, rich in large medieval palaces enclosed in the mighty walls, guarded by two tall towers and the Medici fortress. There are also important Roman ruins including the Roman theater carved into the rock that was brought to light in the 1950s. At present, the city is famous for processing alabaster. Numerous museums to visit such as the Etruscan Museum, the Civic Art Gallery, the Museum of Sacred Art, the Ecomuseum alabaster.

San Gimignano

The famous city of towers that reached its peak between 1000 and 1300 as a obligatory stop for pilgrims on the Via Francigena.

Livorno

A picturesque seaside town with a large port and many monuments, churches, fortresses, museums and art galleries, aquarium, characteristic canals that cross the city and protagonists of an interesting event in August known as the “Venice Effect”

Pisa
